The Mole Explorer was set up in February 2020 to explore, document and report on social and environmental issues in Mole Valley.

In particular it sought to document the care and creativity of local communities and groups working for fairer and greener futures – from protecting allotment gardens to preventing fracking in nature spots to advocating for more affordable housing and less ecological destruction with development plans.

After a period of hibernation during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is re-emerging in February 2022.

The Mole Explorer is an independent, non-profit, volunteer-based initiative. It draws inspiration from community-based investigative reporting initiatives such as The Bristol Cable. If you’d be interested in contributing or helping out we’d love to hear from you.
